Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and musician Chris Martin are officially divorced. The details relating to property settlement and custody have already been agreed upon by their managers. The judge signed the final documents on Monday, report the media. The couple split in March 2014 after being married for a decade. They described the decision as “conscious uncoupling.”
They remained in good relations since they broke up, and shared time with their kids – daughter Apple, who will be 11 in May, and son Moses, aged 9. Even though the details of the settlement remained a secret, it is highly likely the pair will have joint custody over their children. TMZ has learned that the divorce documents cite irreconcilable differences. The two, however, remain in an amicable relationship.
Neither Gwyneth nor Chris has kept their new relationships a secret – Paltrow is dating the producer of Glee Brad Falchuk, while Martin is seeing Jennifer Lawrence. Their priority, however, are their children, sources say.
Even though Paltrow and Martin went on a vacation in February together, that did not mean the pair was getting back together. They were on holiday in Puerto Vallarta with their children, even though a year has passed since Paltrow announced the breakup. At the time, they were working alongside a mediator to come to a mutual divorce agreement. It looks like friendly break ups are possible in the glamorous world of celebs, however, rare they may be.
