Talk about having a slam dunk. Just two weeks after these two major WNBA power names were arrested, they have said their “I dos”.
Just two weeks ago, Glory Johnson, 24, and Brittney Griner, 24, were arrested for assaults the two got married in a colorful ceremony that was held on 8th May. The event was at Phoenix Arizona and it comes just nine months after the two announced that they were engaged.
Glory, who wore a gorgeous wedding gown by designer Matthew Christopher, confirmed the news by posting a lovely picture of the two on their wedding day. As for Brittney, she went for a beige suit.
For the event, the two said their “I do” in front of 75 guests at an event that was held beneath an archway at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort which is in Phoenix, Arizona. The people is reporting that the two, Glory and Brittney, wanted a “Desert elegance” theme wedding and they had on display a bouquet of beautiful flowers.
The two, who announced that they were engaged back in August 2014, danced to “Thinking out loud” by Ed Sheeran. This was their first dance together as a married couple.
Back in April 22nd the two were arrested by the police on suspicion of disorderly conduct and assault, the Los Angeles Times reported. After the whole incident Brittney ended up joining domestic violence counseling and after completing it, the charges which are against her will be dropped.
“It is never OK for an argument to turn physical,” Brittney said in a statement. “This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously.”
This truly goes to show that love conquers all.
